Introducing the Argo One Tip Jar

Do you like what we do here at Argo One? Have you ever wanted to buy us lunch? Here’s your chance: say hello to the Argo One Tip Jar!

As we approach the end of production on Phratry and the beginning of production on 71 Minutes in a Bunker, we figure it’s time to raise some extra spending money. Rather than go through a crowdfunding site, however, we’re taking donations directly from you via PayPal. The reasons? It’s partly to avoid service fees from those websites, partly so we don’t have to wait until the end of the campaign to get paid, and partly so fans can donate a little at a time instead of all at once, but still get rewards.

The Tip Jar will be open only when we’re filming. Whenever a new donation campaign begins, we’ll announce it here as well as on Facebook and Twitter.

Our first fundraiser is now active and runs through May 26. Read all about it and the rewards you can get for your donations here.

Production Begins on 71 Minutes in a Bunker

Production has begun on our next feature film! 71 Minutes in a Bunker with the President of the United States is the second full length feature from Inhumanwich! writer/director David Cornelius. The story is fairly self explanatory from the title: a group of reporters find themselves locked in an underground bunker with a rather unhinged POTUS and his staff, and things go south from there.

The film will feature the usual Argo crew and star a mix of new and familiar faces, all of whom we’ll announce later. The title, meanwhile, is subject to change, depending on just how long the actual movie winds up being after we’re finished editing.

Filming is set to begin in late April, following the world premiere of Phratry. Be sure to follow 71 Minutes in a Bunker on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news.

Tickets to Phratry Premiere Now Available

Tickets for the world premiere of Phratry are now available!

More than just a movie screening, the premiere event will also feature live performances from six bands from the Phratry roster, all of it under one roof at the legendary Southgate House Revival in Newport, Kentucky. Doors open at 7:30 PM, show starts at 8:00 PM. The show is all ages, although the film does include strong language.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. You can order them right now online here, or any time at the Southgate House bar.

Full event info is available here. And be sure to follow the movie on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news.

We hope to see you there!

Phratry to Premiere in March

Phratry, our upcoming feature-length documentary on Phratry Records and its community of artists, will have its world premiere March 29, 2019 at the Southgate House Revival in Newport, Kentucky.

The film had been delayed a few times as director Shane and producer Jerry kept landing more and more interviews that were too good to pass up. But we promise you it’s worth the wait, especially if you get to see it at the Southgate, which has been a longtime supporter of local artists – especially those in the Phratry roster. We have some other surprises in store for the premiere; we’ll announce those as we lock them down.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the Phratry Records library to catch up on some of the artists you’ll see and hear in the movie, and follow the movie on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news.

End of an Era Premieres Online

End of an Era, the second music video in our latest two-part collaboration with A.M. Nice, is now online, exclusively at Cincy Music. The song featured is the title track from the band’s newest album, and, if you haven’t yet, you should really pick up a copy or three. It makes a great gift for whatever holiday is coming up next!

You can watch the video here.
